What you can use here
735 original practice questions, 30 fixed mock tests, random mocks and revision by chapter and topic. Some facts are tested in both directions to practise recall. Two questions about the same fact are not two separate pieces of handbook content.
Our source and scope
The learning scope follows the five chapters of the Home Office’s Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents, third edition. The handbook is Crown copyright. We write our own questions, explanations and study notes; we do not reproduce handbook paragraphs or rival quizzes.
Buy the official handbook and consult the publisher’s impression amendments. Read the entire handbook rather than relying only on quizzes.
Historical facts and changing rules
Historical questions state the relevant event or year. Superseded operational rules are excluded. Our booking and ID guides use GOV.UK, including its eVisa guidance.
Some institutional details have changed since earlier impressions. The Senedd has 96 members from 2026, replacing 60. That current-number question is excluded from our mocks because the edition may lag the change. The Northern Ireland Assembly has 90 MLAs. The Scottish Parliament has 129 MSPs and the Commons has 650 seats.
How practice is scored
Each question is worth one mark. For two-answer questions you must select both correct choices. Full mocks have 24 questions, 45 minutes and an 18/24 practice pass threshold. Topic practice is untimed. Numbered mocks are stable sets; random mode draws without replacement within each session.
Corrections and limitations
These are independently created practice materials, not released official exam questions. Difficulty is an editorial assessment, not a claim about other users’ results. No practice score guarantees an official pass. Report a possible error with the question ID, wording and supporting source.
