Life in the UKMOCK & PRACTICE

Official-source test guide

What happens on Life in the UK Test day

The official test gives you 45 minutes for 24 questions. You need at least 75%, equivalent to 18 correct answers.

Before entering the test

Follow the arrival instructions in your booking confirmation. Have the required identity evidence ready. Children and other family members cannot accompany you into the centre. Staff will check your identity and take your photograph.

During the test

Questions cover the official Guide for New Residents. Read each question carefully and notice whether it asks for more than one answer. Our mocks use one question per screen with a timer and review step, but their questions and interface are independently designed.

Preparing with a mock

Practise without notes once you have studied the handbook. Use the review grid to find unanswered or flagged questions before submitting. In our practice scoring, a two-answer question earns a mark only when both correct options, and no others, are selected.

Quick answer
